Your first plan

Build a 24 m nitrox dive from an empty planner and read the schedule it returns, changing nothing that does not have to change.

Updated View as Markdown

A 24 m dive for 30 minutes on EAN32: one level, one gas, everything else left alone. Every plan moves through the same three steps, Plan, Review, Save, and the rail at the top of the planner is the only navigation the planner has.

Build it

  1. Open Plans in the navigation rail, then press New in the drawer’s header. On a phone, use the raised + in the tab bar instead.

  2. Name it. The New Dive Plan dialogue needs only a Dive Name. Leave Breathing Mode on Open Circuit and press Next →.

  3. Add the level. Press Add Level, set Depth to 24 and Bottom Time to 30.

  4. Add the gas. In the Gases section press Add Gas Mix. The wizard opens already set to a single backmount cylinder in the Bottom Gas role, so press Next → without changing anything.

  5. Set the mix. On Gas Composition, set O₂ % to 32 and leave He % at 0. The preview names it EAN32. Press Next → through the remaining pages, then Finished.

  6. Review it. Press Review →. Everything else is already configured: Bühlmann ZHL-16C at GF 40/70, salt water at sea level, 20 m/min down and 9 / 3 / 1 m/min up.

Read the result

The Overview tab is the profile chart with a strip of readouts beneath it, and those readouts are the plan.

The plan's readouts for a 24 m dive of 30 minutes on EAN32
Max Depth24.0 m
Runtime41 min
TTS10 min
First Stop6 m
O₂ CNS13%
OTU37

First Stop is absent, because this dive has no decompression obligation. The few minutes of TTS are the direct ascent, not decompression. Add bottom time and a stop will eventually appear, and from that minute on the dive is a decompression dive.

Keep it

Save → asks for a Plan Name, offers a Notes field, and puts the plan in the Dive Plans drawer, where it stays available on every device you sign in to.

Next

Creating a plan starts the same flow with the decisions put back in, one page per panel.

Gradient factors explains what the 40/70 you left alone is doing to the ascent.
