Courses

Run a course as an instructor or follow one as a student, with the roster, the dive list, and exactly what enrolment shares with your instructor.

A course is a named sequence of dives with a roster. The instructor lays out the dives, each student is enrolled on every one of them, and the dives and reviews a student records against the course become visible to that instructor once the student has been told so and accepted.

Courses is on the navigation rail for accounts with instructor tools, and reachable from the Home screen for everyone else. Creating a course needs the instructor capability; being on one does not.

As an instructor

On Courses, press New course. Name it and say how many dives it has. Each dive becomes a real plan, named <Course name> — Dive <number>, and starts unconfigured.
A course starts as a draft, which students cannot see. Publish it to active when the sequence is laid out. Add more dives later from the Dives tab.
On the Roster tab, add students by email address. Each gets a course invitation, and nothing is shared until they accept it.
Once they accept, the roster row shows how many of the course’s dives they have logged and how many post-dive reviews they have completed. Open a student to read their dives and reviews.

You see a student’s dives, plans and post-dive reviews for this course’s dives, and only while their enrolment stands. You see nothing else: dives they log outside the course are not yours to read. Against a student who has not accepted, the app states it plainly: “Name has not accepted enrolment yet, so none of their dives or reviews are shared.”

Removing a dive deletes its plan. A dive a student already recorded against it survives as their own log entry, unlinked from the course rather than deleted.

As a student

A course invitation notification arrives, and the course appears under Pending enrolments on the Courses page. Read the disclosure before you accept.

The disclosure a student reads before accepting a course

Take it literally. A post-dive review recorded against a course dive is visible to your instructor in full, including the symptom and decompression answers it contains. Dives you log outside the course stay private. Accept enrols you and records the date; Decline does not close the door, and your instructor can invite you again later.

Once enrolled, the course page shows the dives in order, marks which one is next, and carries a standing reminder that your instructor can see the dives, plans and reviews you record against it. The same line appears inline on a post-dive review. Your instructor’s name and email are at the bottom of the page.

Withdrawing ends the sharing: the instructor stops seeing your course dives. Your own dives and reviews stay yours.
