A gas already in the plan is changed from its own card, never from Add Gas Mix. Three controls sit in the card’s top corner, past the mix name.
- Edit gas mix: the pencil. It opens the gas builder on this gas.
- Blend mix: opens the blending calculator with this gas as its target. See Blending.
- Remove gas mix: the ✕, drawn in the alert tone, takes the gas out of the plan at once.
The builder in edit mode
The dialogue opens on Tank Configuration, subtitled Editing and the gas’s name where a new gas reads New gas mix. Every field arrives holding what the gas already carries.
Work through the same steps an added gas runs, with a limits step for each circuit the gas is used on. Nothing is skipped because the gas exists, and each back button names the step it returns to.
Finished, on the confirm step, writes the changes back, and the gas keeps its place in the list. Closing the dialogue any other way leaves the gas as it was.
Watch for:
- The configurations offered are the ones this gas may take, by the rules in Cylinder configurations. Editing the plan’s back gas keeps the back-gas configurations available.
- The role follows the cylinder configuration, so a gas moved into a stage is a gas whose role has moved with it. See Gas names and labels.
- Removing a gas is immediate. There is no confirmation and nothing to undo, and an open-circuit plan left without a Bottom Gas will not advance to the Review step.
