Starting a review

Open a post-dive review, and know what to do when no recorded dive is matched to your plan.

Updated View as Markdown

Reviews start from the plan, not from the dive. The Post-Dive page lists every plan you have and shows which recorded dive it thinks each one was dived as: Your plans, matched to recorded dives. Open a matched plan to review the dive against it.

Opening one

  1. Download the dive from your computer, if you have not already. A review needs the full recording. See Downloading dives.

  2. Open the Post-Dive page. Each row is a plan: maximum depth, name, circuit, runtime, and level count when it has more than one.

  3. Read the match on the right of the row. A matched plan names the dive it matched, Dive #14 · 4 Feb for example.

  4. Select a matched row. The review opens on the recorded profile drawn against the planned one.

Rows you have worked on carry their state: Reviewed when every question is answered, or In progress with a count when some are.

When nothing is matched

DiveLogic pairs a plan with the downloaded dive agreeing on the most of three things: maximum depth within 15 % or within 3 m, runtime within 25 %, and a start on the calendar day the plan is dated.

  • Matching dive not downloaded: a dive fits the plan, but its recording has never been downloaded. Connect the computer, open that dive, and the row becomes openable.
  • No matching dive log: no downloaded dive agreed well enough. Usually the dive is not downloaded, or the plan carries no date or the wrong one.
  • No plans yet: there is nothing to review against. Make the plan first, in the planner.

There is no manual dive picker. If a plan will not match the dive you know it belongs to, correct the plan’s date.

Inside the review

Six tabs: Review, Feel, The dive, You, Next 24h and Reading. The first is the plan-vs-actual comparison, the middle four ask questions, and the last is the reading they add up to.

Anything unusual since you surfaced. These are safety checks, not a score.

4/9

Nothing is required and nothing blocks you from moving on. Answers save as you go. Reopening a review returns you to the first step: the answers persist, the position in the flow does not. Signed out, the review opens on a sample dive, with a note saying so.

The comparison step also offers Debrief this dive with AI, which hands the comparison and your answers to the post-dive debrief.
