# Getting DiveLogic

DiveLogic runs in three places. They plan identically: the same dive on the same
settings produces the same stops everywhere. The difference is Bluetooth.

| Where | How you get it | Dive-computer sync |
|---|---|---|
| Browser | Nothing to install; open DiveLogic and sign in | No |
| macOS · Windows · Linux | Install the download for your platform | Yes |
| iOS | Install the application on the device | Yes |

## Which one to use

- **Browser** for planning at a desk. You get the planner, the gas tools, your
saved plans, Tunang, and every dive already synced from elsewhere.
- **Desktop** for everything the browser does plus Bluetooth. DiveLogic is in
early access, so the download is issued directly rather than through an app
  store.
- **iOS** for the planner, the dive log and Bluetooth sync. The first launch
asks for Bluetooth permission; decline it and the Logs drawer loses its scan
action, which the device's own settings can restore later.

Android is not available.

## Watch for

- **A browser cannot reach a dive computer.** It can read every dive already
synced from a desktop or iOS install, but it cannot be the thing that syncs
  them.
- **To tell which you are running**, open **Logs** in the navigation rail. An
install that offers **Scan for Computers** can reach a dive computer; a
browser explains that Bluetooth sync needs the desktop or mobile application
  instead.

sign-in gate and shows nothing behind it until an account exists.
